The Setting

Located on the edge of the Champlain Valley, The Barns at Edgemont Inn of Moriah, New York, is a barn wedding venue. The charming property includes an event barn, lodging, and several historic multi-use buildings across 20 rural acres. Here, couples can enjoy every part of their wedding, from their rehearsal dinner to the reception, and can even stay multiple nights at the Inn. The farmland, meadow, and forest that surround the property provide scenic views in every direction.

Facilities and Capacity

The Barns at Edgemont Inn features a 4400-square-foot event barn that can comfortably accommodate 230 people. The rustic interior includes a reception space, dance space, full-service bar with indoor and outdoor counters, and built-in restrooms. Heartfelt indoor ceremonies can also take place here. Wide doors open on all four sides of the space, allowing the breeze and dazzling natural light to pass through during milestone celebrations. Couples can configure the interior as they prefer using any of the tables and chairs that the venue provides. The wide meadow on the north side of the barn is ideal for a tent setup that can comfortably fit more than 230 people. A barbecue pavilion and fire pit are located on the south side of the barn, allowing those celebrating to remain outside as the evening mountain air cools the region. The barn's radiant floor heat and insulated walls were designed to enable the warmth and romance of winter weddings.

Services Offered

The Barns at Edgemont Inn is proud to offer a variety of wedding services and amenities to bring visions to life. On the special day, an on-site coordinator will be there to assist with details big and small. The venue's staff can assist with the setup and an array of tables and chairs will be provided. Linens and table settings are also available. For the convenience of those celebrating, on-site parking is available. To streamline planning processes, the venue's experienced team is more than happy to provide couples with vendor referrals. The staff is familiar with a variety of local creative talent including caterers, planners, photographers, floral designers, entertainers, and more. Couples are also welcome to bring their own vendors to the venue.


The mountainous area surrounding the Edgemont property is a well-known destination for nature lovers, hikers, bikers, skiers, and wind-surfers. To make the most of the setting, couples are invited to extend their celebrations over several days. Four en-suite rooms in the main house and a separate, fully-equipped apartment are available to lodge 14 overnight guests, and provide comfortable preparation spaces for the couple and their attendants before the wedding. Alternatively, multiple B&Bs, small hotels, and private home rentals are also available in the region.

The captivating three-story mansion and connected living space known as Edgemont Inn is steps away from the Edgemont Barns. It consists of four double-occupancy ensuite rooms, a full-service kitchen, living room, dining room, billiards room and third floor play space. A fifth double-occupancy bedroom with full bath, full kitchen and living room are also available across the driving circle from the main house. Wedding parties can book the entire premises -- inn, outbuildings, barns and surrounding grounds -- for $500 per night.

Venue Rental Policies

  • Clean-up: The wedding party and caterers are responsible for removing their equipment, service items and personal property from the venue at the end of the event. Trash and recycling removal can be performed by the wedding party upon payment of a refundable deposit of $150, or by the venue for a charge of $100. The remaining clean-up is the responsibility of the venue.
