Nelson, Ohio was first pioneered in 1800 and organized in 1817. The beautiful historic building is over 170 years old. Although it has been renovated to accommodate modern celebrations, many of the original features like the hand-hewn beams have been preserved. We believe it was built in 1850 and was used as a church for many years. In the ’80s, it was turned into a general store.

Larry and Laurie purchased the property in 2022 with a clear vision of bringing this extraordinary historic building to life again. Larry is a lifelong resident of Nelson Township and ran Hermann Pickle Company successfully for the last 40+ years. Larry and Laurie are dedicated to growing another successful business for their hometown.
