Sarah & Jake

Travel

Cape May has been the family vacation destination for Nancy, Tim, Celia, and Jake for as long as Jake can remember. For the past several years, Tim and Nancy have welcomed Sarah as part of the family on their annual trip to the shore. If you’re in town for a few days, we hope you're able to enjoy a few of our favorites! We highly recommend reservations for any sit down restaurants as they do book up for the summer and many are BYOB.

If you're staying in town, most spots are very walkable! If you're not staying at the Southern Mansion, there are lots of hotels, BnB's, Airbnb's within a few minutes walking distance to the venue. We've included a few recommendations below.

Feel free to reach out with any questions or help needed finding a place to stay (saraherguth@gmail.com).

Directions

Tips for traveling to Cape May:
The Southern Mansion is about 2 hours and 50 minutes from Piermont, NY and 2 hours and 30 minutes from Chester, NJ without traffic. We recommend giving yourself 4 hours if driving down during rush hour or on Saturday morning.

If you're flying from out of town, we recommend flying into Newark Liberty International Airport (2hr 15min) or Philadelphia International Airport (1hr 30min) and then renting a car to drive to Cape May. We recommend giving yourself 2.5-3 hours from the airport if driving during rush hour or on Saturday morning.
