All about the Venue’s Gardens
Primarily an outdoor wedding venue with broad lawns and beautiful flowers, the garden can accommodate up to 150 people for your wedding ceremony and reception. The space is large enough for a tent and includes access to the pavilion. For couples looking for a more intimate wedding (50 guests or less), the Peggy Lee Hahn Garden Pavilion is an ideal place to host a reception.

A piece of Virginia Tech History
While the gardens are certainly stunning, there’s more to this venue then just a beautiful space! The Hahn Horticulture Garden encompasses nearly six acres of teaching and display gardens on the Virginia Tech campus. Established in 1984 by the Horticulture faculty, the gardens serve undergraduate students and the local community as a learning resource for plant material, landscaping concepts, and environmental awareness. The garden features perennial borders, water gardens, shade gardens, a meadow garden, and the Peggy Lee Hahn Garden Pavilion.

The garden’s newest feature
As a public land-grant university, Virginia Tech is committed to guiding a generation into the future (VT Strategic Plan). In their newest partnership with Weven Venues, a wedding tech company, Hahn Horticulture has shown this commitment to the next generation of couples by providing the tools to make planning their dream wedding a piece of cake.
One of the aspects of this partnership Scott, the Director of the Hahn Horticulture Garden, is most excited to share with couples is Weven’s online planning portal. This portal allows couples to plan and collaborate through one single dashboard and provides tools like vendor management, a custom wedding website builder, and wedding planning checklist. These tools are completely free to couples once they book and help take the stress out of planning!
