We are so grateful that you would consider joining us on our wedding day. As we have chosen to do a destination wedding we understand that travel and lodging can get complicated and expensive. That being said, if this trip becomes too much for you to join then please know we won't love you any less! Same thing goes for anyone who already has special Mother's Day plans that weekend.. no need to cancel, we totally understand! We will still hold you in our hearts from afar.

VENUE- Chimney Pond Farm, 240 Chimney Pond Rd, Glenville, NC 28736

LODGING- Various hotels or Airbnbs in Cashiers or Glenville. Lodging is extremely limited so PLEASE BOOK A PLACE ASAP! Can't stress this enough. Thank you in advance!

TRANSPORTATION- There aren't any Uber or Lyft drivers in the area. If you choose another hotel or Airbnb please note that you may need a sober driver to get you to and from the events while you're in town!

A BUS will be departing Hampton Inn at 3:25 pm on Saturday 5/11 to head to Chimney Pond Farm which is about 20 minutes away. There will be Prosecco and music until the ceremony begins at 4:30 pm. After the reception, the bus will make two trips back to the Hampton Inn, first at 11:05 pm and then again at midnight. The reception ends at 11 pm and everyone has to be off of the venue property by midnight. Please feel free to drive to and from the wedding if you want more flexibility with your departure time. There is plenty of parking on site.

CELL PHONE RECEPTION is very spotty in the mountains so please pull up your directions on your phone before you start driving. Careful not to close out of your GPS function as you may not be able to reload the directions mid trip.

Directions

For Atlanta Family and Friends- The venue is about 3 hours north. As you get closer to Cashiers the roads get very windy so you might consider bringing antiemetics if prone to motion sickness. Be sure to pull off at some of the gorgeous look out points along the way and take it all in!

Traveling from outside of Georgia?- Fly into the Asheville Regional Airport (AVL). It is 15 minutes south of downtown Asheville and about 1 hour NE of Cashiers, which is where most guests will end up staying.

You can also consider flying into Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport (GSP) in South Carolina if it is less expensive. This airport is about 1 hour and 45 minutes Southeast of Cashiers, NC.

You will need to rent a car to get to Cashiers/ Glenville. Please try to carpool with other guests if possible to cut down on travel expenses. Kevin and I have had great experiences using the car rental app TURO. It is like airbnb for cars and tends to be cheaper and easier than standard rental car companies. If you need help finding a friend to share a vehicle with please let Kevin or me know and we will be happy to help you.

We have 30 rooms blocked off May 9-12, 2024. 15 Standard King and 15 Standard 2 Queens. $214/ night.

IMPORTANT!... When calling this hotel wait on the line for the front desk to pick up. If you press 1 for reservations, your call will be directed to their call center and they are not helpful for wedding block bookings. The hotel also just got a new reservation system that they have been having trouble with. If you call and they tell you there aren't any rooms available please check with me or Kevin before giving up. They're probably not fully booked. Try both Wolber Wright and WWW for block codes.

Please let me know if there aren't any rooms left in the block. I have reserved 9 more King rooms on my CC which I can disperse to anyone in need. Unfortunately these rooms are not at the block rate so we will fill up the block first. (Unless you really want a King room and there are only Double Queen rooms left in the block.)
