Our Story
How We Met
Jen is absolutely thrilled that, before her retirement from teaching, her dear friend Brittany (B.) Benson introduced her to her boyfriend, Jeff Palzcewski's, odd but loveable single cousin (Tom).
Within 93 days, Jen and Tom made the leap from dating (and buying salad tongs and bootlaces together at Vidler's) to engaged, without ever officially being "boyfriend and girlfriend." Tom enjoyed how Jen would wait for him in her Princess chair watching the driveway, and he never actually had to ring the bell when picking her up for a date. Jen enjoyed how Tom would drive until the Low Fuel light came on, then stop in the most interesting neighborhoods of the City of Buffalo at 1 a.m. to refuel.
Tom quickly became enamored with Jen's parent's elderly cockapoo, Vinny -- and he likes Ed and Patty, too!
Jen enjoys hugging Tom's dad and giving him a kiss on the cheek, which always leads to him awkwardly stammering "OK, OK, OK" while patting her on the back to request release.
In addition to Jen and Tom themselves falling deeply in love, their families have really hit it off, too! As Jen's Italian cousin Alba said, "Morrisey -- well, that doesn't sound TOO bad." The Morriseys and Ungaros look forward to spending a lifetime of holidays together.
The Proposal
Quick update - at this point, we are hoping this is not news to anyone, but Jen and Tom were married in a small ceremony with just their immediate family present on October 13! November 8 will now be solely their reception, starting with a cocktail hour at 5 p.m. (as well as a celebration of their 0.07th anniversary.) Enjoy the extra half hour to get ready to eat, drink, and enjoy some killer music with Jen and Tom!
