Our Story
How We Met
Amanda and Julian's love story began at a Friendsgiving gathering in 2017. They were both newcomers to the event, unaware of each other's existence until that day. Amidst the warmth of the gathering, they struck up a conversation that quickly turned into a bond.
After the event, they parted ways but couldn't shake the feeling of wanting to see each other again. A few weeks later, Julian gathered the courage to ask Amanda out on their first date. From then on, their relationship blossomed naturally, guided by genuine affection and mutual respect.
Their story is a reminder that love often finds us in the most unexpected places, weaving its magic in the simplest of moments. Since that memorable Friendsgiving, Amanda and Julian have been on a journey of love and companionship, cherishing each other's presence every step of the way
The Proposal
The proposal unfolded as a heartwarming moment filled with love and joy. For the past five years, Julian had become a cherished part of Amanda's yearly Fourth of July tradition at their house on serene Brooks Creek in Cambridge, Maryland. This special retreat, built by Amanda's family in the 1990s, held deep significance as a gathering place for their loved ones.
In a touching gesture, Julian arranged for Amanda's closest friends from up and down the East Coast to join them for what she believed was simply a delightful reunion. On the afternoon of July 2nd, after a leisurely boat ride with her friends, father, and Grandfather, Amanda stepped off the boat to find Julian waiting for her at the dock, his eyes shining with anticipation.
Julian walked with Amanda down the pier and, with heartfelt words, knelt before her. In that beautiful moment, surrounded by loved ones with the beauty of water in the background, he asked her to spend the rest of her life with him. Overwhelmed with happiness, Amanda excitedly accepted, knowing in her heart that this was the beginning of their forever journey together.
