Our Story
How We Met
Matt and Sydney met in August of 2016 and as they always say, the rest is history. They were both working on getting into PT school when their paths crossed, and have since been with each other for every monumental step of the way.
Since then, they have been inseparable best friends, team mates, and soulmates. They moved into a little apartment together in Dallas, PA for 4 years. There they supported each other throughout school, work, and everything in between. After Matt graduated, they moved back toward home and their families where they now reside in Meshoppen, PA. In their free time together, they go hunting and fishing, go on walks, play games, spend time with family and friends, and spend lots of time laughing.
Sydney has been waiting on this proposal since the day she met Matt. Their love is fierce, fun, kind, and everlasting. While it has not always been easy, being together has always been the best decision they have ever made.
The Proposal
Matt and Sydney were visiting their close friends, Ben and Lizzie, in South Carolina in May of 2023. On May 31, their friends took them on a boat into a local area known as Murrells Inlet, where they spent several hours fishing together. On their way back to what Sydney thought was an area for more fishing, she turned around and Matt was on one knee (with Sydney's fishing pole still in her hand). While neither Sydney or Matt remember exactly what was said during the proposal, it was enough for her to say yes. Matt had a photographer set up on the shore who captured the moment and took photos of them on the beach in the time following. They returned back to the house that night where Ben and Lizzie had decorated for the occasion and they celebrated for the next 3 days!
