In Korean wedding culture, it's traditional not to have a gift registry. Instead, guests generously share their well wishes through a cash gift, which can be placed in a designated envelope box at the venue. History:
During the Joseon Dynasty (1392–1897), Korea was heavily influenced by Confucian traditions, which emphasized social harmony and mutual support. The exchange of money at weddings was a way for the community to help newlyweds start their married lives and reinforce social bonds.
