After six years of living on the North Shore, we're still discovering new things to do! There's so much to explore and enjoy. Here are some of our favorite spots and activities!

Directions

The North Shore is a scenic coastal region located just north of Boston, known for its charming seaside towns, and beautiful natural landscapes. Here's a guide to getting there and what to expect:

  1. By Car: Take I-93 or US-1 Norh, depending on your destination in the North Shore. Driving usually takes 30-60 minutes, depending on traffic and your exact travel locations.

  2. By Train: Use the MBTA Commuter Rail on the Newburyport/Rockport line. Trans depart from North Station in Boston and stop at various towns like Salem, Beverly, Ipswich, and Rockport. Its travel times range from 30 minutes to 1.5 hours.

Singing Beach

Our favorite beach on the North Shore! It's peaceful, picturesque, and perfect for a relaxing day. If you're driving, be sure to follow the public parking signs. From there, it's a short but scenic walk from the town to the beach. Cash only to walk on!

Coolidge Reservation

The spot where Antonio popped the question! This hidden gem is perfect if you're looking for a more serene escape. There's a free public parking lot, and from there, you can choose from several trails that lead to either a secluded beach or a breathtaking overlook. An ideal spot for a picnic and a good book!

Rockport

The perfect place for a charming little day trip! It's a coastal town known for its views, historic landmarks, and shops! It's filled with unique galleries, shops and local eateries. Fun fact: some shots from the movie The Proposal were filmed here!

Salem

A must do! The downtown area is packed with unique shops, local eateries, and some spooky attractions. If you're interested in learning some history, there are a handful of tours and trollies as well.

Newburyport

Another coastal town destination on the North Shore. Star with a peaceful stroll along the harbor before exploring downtown's boutique shops and galleries. Enjoy lunch at one of the many amazing restaurants they have to offer and then head to a nearby natural attraction like Plum Island (for the beach) or Parker River National Wildlife Refuge (for trails and animal sightings).
