Our Story

How We Met

They say life has a funny way of bringing people together, and ours is a perfect example of that. Chase and I have known each other practically since we were about six or seven years old, thanks to our sisters being inseparable best friends. Our families shared countless barbecues and gatherings, but back then, the concept of boys was just synonymous with 'cooties,' so we didn't pay each other much mind.

Eventually, life took me a few towns over, and our paths diverged. But fate had other plans. Chase ended up working at the Wawa near my high school, and though we'd cross paths, we never really acknowledged each other.

Fast forward to my 21st birthday, and my best friend Lauren decided to take me out for a night of celebration at Sharkys, a local bar. Little did I know that Chase would be there too. As fate would have it, we ended up seated next to each other at the bar, catching up over drinks. It was as if no time had passed at all.

Our next encounter was at a Halloween party, where I decided to rock a Post Malone costume, beard and all. Chase was there, once again, charming me with his flirtatious banter. From that moment on, we began texting sporadically, testing the waters of what could be.

Then came Friendsgiving, a gathering that reignited the spark between us. From that night forward, we haven't gone a day without talking. They say the rest is history, but for us, it's the beginning of a beautiful journey together.

The Proposal

They say when you know, you know. And from the moment I realized that the honeymoon phase with Claudia was destined to last forever, I knew I had found the one. Nothing changed since the day we started dating, except for my certainty that she was the woman I wanted to spend the rest of my life with.

The decision to propose came naturally after I had Claudia's ring custom-made. I wanted the moment to be perfect, reflecting the depth of my love and our shared adventures. While initially, I considered our usual beach picnic dates, I ultimately settled on something more reflective of our connection - a beautiful hike.

We planned one of our regular hikes to Wissahickon, PA. As we drove there, Claudia remained unsuspecting, while internally, I was shitting my pants, though deep down, I knew she'd say yes without hesitation. When we arrived at a stunning rock valley, I knew it was the perfect spot.

Setting up her phone for some photos, Claudia was completely unaware of what was about to happen. With my heart pounding, I dropped to one knee and attempted to articulate the depth of my feelings. In that moment, all the planned words disappeared, leaving only the raw emotion between us.

Finishing our hike in the pouring rain added an unexpected romance to the occasion. We sought refuge in a cozy Irish pub in Pennsylvania, savoring the moments of togetherness. Little did Claudia know, my nerves were still on edge because I had a surprise party planned for that night.

With her sister, nephew, and dad secretly flying in for the occasion, Claudia remained blissfully unaware. Eventually, we made our way to my sister's place, where Claudia was greeted with shock and joy as our loved ones gathered to celebrate our love.

It was an unforgettable night, filled with laughter, love, and the warmth of those closest to us. As we toasted to our future, I knew that this was just the beginning of our extraordinary journey together.
