How We Met
In the fall of 2012, Kat found herself at the party of a friend. Scott - who usually recoils from parties - felt an inexplicable need to push his friends to attend with him. Scott walks in the door... eyes lock and both are instantly drawn to one another. What follows are late night text messages, whiskey-fueled ramblings about the arts and human nature, sweaty dancing to the Chicken Slacks at the Cantab Lounge (don’t use their bathroom), and a typewriter orchestra. As Kat and Scott’s love for each other grew, their lives came to include trips to the Cape, camping in Vermont, skiing in the winter, and two wonderful pups.
The Proposal
In the spring of 2018, Scott orchestrated a picnic lunch in the heart of the Arnold Arboretum, a favorite spot around the corner from their first apartment. Armed with #1s with avocado and two dogs in tow, they wandered through the nostalgic sweep of the landscape. Tucked away in a soft forrest clearing amidst their picnic, Scott proposed to Kat. The rest is history!
