Only a 12 minute drive North from Horse and Hound Inn, you can experience all the fun that is downtown Littleton. Matt and Lena have always made it a point to visit the Co-op, walk Main St. and visit all the small town shops, antique shops and more before sitting down for a bite to eat.

Only an 18 minute drive south from the Horse and Hound Inn, you can experience Matthew and Lena's favorite Thai food restaurant. They recommend heading into town a bit early and stopping at Cascade Park to walk along the beautiful Pemigewasset river for some tranquility before dinner.

Artist Bluff Lookout Trail

Only an 4 minute drive from the Horse and Hound Inn, you can experience Matthew and Lena's favorite Short hike in Franconia Notch. The couple first hiked this trail in 2020 when Matthew discovered Franconia was his favorite part of the White Mountains.

The Basin

The Basin, Lincoln, NH 03251

Only an 13 minute drive from the Horse and Hound Inn, you can experience the breathtaking Basin. It began over 25,000 years ago by water flowing from the melting glacier that filled Franconia Notch, eroding the solid granite bedrock. Matthew and Lena have visited this site more than they can count, it's a breath-taking experience during every season.

Black Cap Trail

Have some extra time and interested in a life changing short hike? Black Cap is Matthew and Lena's all time favorite short hike. They have hiked this every time they are able to. During the sunset is always there favorite but no matter when it helps them re-center there love and connect with nature. This hike is a short 2.6 miles but offers 360 views of the presidential range. You can almost always see Mt. Washington's snowy summit.
