The Setting

Originally built in the early 1900s for luxury faucet manufacturing, the 22,000 square foot warehouse sat empty for decades. The creative potential of the location caught our eye, and in 2017, we went to work to renovate the building. As event vendors ourselves, we designed The Madison to be the best parts of every cool venue we’ve ever worked from Seattle to New York City and Chicago to the Caribbean. In 2018, we reopened the restored space The Madison. We quickly gained acclaim from the area’s top event planners, community collaborators, and even local professional athletes. As Northeast Ohio’s premier event venue, our mission is to cultivate human connection and life’s treasured moments. You’ll find it effortless to work with us and within the space so you can focus more on your goals – and your guests.

If you’re looking for something unique and unexpected, The Madison has the experience and facilities to host all of your wedding events. Our professional event team can give as much – or as little – assistance to develop an event as original as the two of you. The modern, minimal designed space allows you to deck it out as much or as little as you envision. We can offer the flexibility to cultivate separate spaces for every or any wedding event under one roof.

Venue Rental Policies

  • Candles: Considered Upon Request (restrictions or fees may apply)
  • Dance Floor Installation: Allowed - We’ve seen some beautiful dance floor sets ups in a variety of locations in the main venue. Ask our venue coordinator for some layout examples.
  • Smoke machines, Glitter, or Confetti Cannons: Considered Upon Request (restrictions or fees may apply) - With permission, please ask and coordinate the details with our venue coordinator so we can adhere to building ordinances and provide safe conditions for you and your guests.
  • Set up & Tear Down: Considered Upon Request (restrictions or fees may apply) - We may host events the day before or after your event. We ask that you set up and tear down within the hours of your event rental timeframe. If you need to store decor items before or after your event, ask your venue coordinator how we can accommodate.
  • Clean Up: Considered Upon Request (restrictions or fees may apply) - The Madison will clean the venue and event spaces we offer before and after your event. Your or your vendors will need to remove your decor, event rentals, and personal belongings within the rental timeframes as described in your rental contract.
  • Event Rentals: Allowed - Most event rental companies require all linens to be placed within provided linen bags, and tables to be broken down and stacked, along with chairs, and placed for picked up at the same or similar location as delivery. Ask your rental companies for their requirements and work with those companies, your caterer and/or event planner to meet their needs to ensure you’re not charged additional fees from them (or us.)
  • Event Insurance: Allowed - REQUIRED: You, or your caterer, will need to provide a certificate of insurance to cover all vendors. We require $1 million general aggregate / per occurrence including property damage. The policy should include Host Liquor Liability if you are serving alcohol. These policies typically cost under $200 and can be secured up to 24 hours before your event starts. Send the policy copy to your venue coordinator.
  • Rehearsal Dinners: Allowed
  • Farewell Brunch: Allowed
  • Pets: Allowed
  • Open Flames: Considered Upon Request (restrictions or fees may apply)
  • Bonfires/Fire Pits: Not Allowed
  • Outside Catering: Considered Upon Request (restrictions or fees may apply)
  • Outside Alcohol: Not Allowed
  • Smoking: Smoking is only permitted in specifically designated areas outdoors for the safety and comfort of your guests and vendors.
