The Setting

The Raymond venue is listed on the National Historic Register as the Raymond Motor Company. Originally a 1920’s garage warehouse, it sat empty on the town square for decades. Our dream was to create a space for community and celebration in the heart of our charming downtown. It has been our joy to carefully restore it with extra thought and intention to share a most dreamy and awe-inspiring space.

Chances are you have waited your entire life for this moment. You’ve got the ring on your finger and now you get to plan the wedding of your dreams with the man that you love, among all of your friends and family that can’t wait to celebrate you both as you start your life together. No doubt you already have an idea of all the details you’ve dreamed about, you just need the right place to make it happen. And you know in your heart you don’t want it to be ordinary, you want it to be a little something extra. An inviting and beautiful space where everyone feels at ease and comfortable and the whole experience is unforgettable.

The Raymond is the venue that you didn’t think you would find in a place many consider a best-kept secret. It’s conveniently located and both beautiful and affordable. We think you and your guests are going to love it.

Venue Rental Policies

  • Event Insurance: Allowed - We do require a $1,000,000 event insurance policy with The Raymond listed as the additional insured to be returned with your contract. Approximate insurance cost - $175.
  • Sales Tax: Allowed - Mississippi charges a 7% sales tax in addition to the venue rental.
  • Credit Card Fee: Allowed - When paying The Raymond Venue rental cost with a credit card there is 3% charge, if you would like to avoid this fee you may pay with cash or check.
  • One Event per Day: At The Raymond, we only host one wedding each day to ensure that the couple’s event is special and receives our full attention.
  • Fireworks: With an additional waiver, we do allow a sparkler send-off in a single location on the concrete driveway. The sparkler use is also subject to cancellation by the venue staff if the fire risk is deemed too high or a burn ban is in place in our county. We are surrounded by an incredible historic piece of property and want to do our best to preserve it.
  • Candles: The candle and flame must be fully contained inside of a glass container. If you choose to use real tapered candles, you must provide your own candle holders and contain them from dripping on our surfaces (tables). We do now offer beautiful faux tapered candlesticks for a rental fee.
  • Rehearsal Dinners: Allowed
  • Pets: Considered Upon Request (restrictions or fees may apply) - We are dog-friendly, with some specific stipulations. Dogs are only allowed with pre-approval at the ceremony and pictures. They must be on a leash and someone must be responsible for them other than the bride and groom. Dogs must be taken off the premises or kenneled after the ceremony and pictures.   • Outside Catering: Allowed - We love home-cooked meals and family recipes but must operate within certain guidelines set forth by state laws and our insurance carrier. We require ALL food to be cooked and prepared in a licensed off-site kitchen. For your convenience, the caterer you choose to serve at The Raymond must be “full service” caterers. View our Prep Kitchen Policy here. Caterers are also required to carry $1 Million liability insurance and be ServeSafe certified.
  • Outside Alcohol: Not Allowed - We don’t allow outside alcohol to be brought into the venue, but we do offer our own bar package.
