The Setting

Located two hours north of San Francisco, Peace and Plenty Farm is a seven acre certified organic farm and the largest growers of saffron in North America. The original farm was founded in 1870 and the historic barn, water tower and farmhouse are a beautiful backdrop for weddings and events. The lavender field, venerable old walnut and oak trees, cut flower garden, orchard, and seasonal creek also provide nature-based settings, and our vintage Airstream overlooking a neighboring vineyard and studio cottage in the lavender field are available for use as his and hers suites for preparation for the celebration.

Each season on the farm has its unique beauty. The changing foliage of autumn and the bounty of walnuts, pomegranates, plums and other fall fruit make for beautiful natural centerpieces. Winter brings the greening up of neighboring hills and our fields, and the twinkly lights in the barn look fairy-tale like amidst the dark skies full of stars. Spring is full of flowers, like daffodils and lilacs, and bright-green new leaves on the trees, and green houses full of baby plants. Summer has even more flowers, like zinnias and sunflowers and lavender, corn high as an elephant's eye, tomatoes on the vine, hot days and cool nights, frogs croaking and crickets chirping.

Can you picture yourselves hand in hand under the rose arbor that leads into the lavender field, or sitting on a swinging bench under a walnut tree overlooking the neighboring vineyard? We are happy to give you a tour and show you some sweet spots on our little farm for your special day.
