Our Story
How We Met
10/18/2025.... Allow us to share the story behind this meaningful date.
Our love story began on the soccer field in 2016. Cierra was playing in an indoor soccer game in Tucson and was missing a few players on her team. I received a last-minute call from a friend asking if I could step in and help out. Little did I know this game would lead me to meet the love of my life. We hit it off right away and after the game we exchanged phone numbers so we could meet up and play soccer together again. After a few months, our love for the game turned into an everlasting love with each other.
Soccer has always been a significant part of our lives, both individually and as a couple. We both love the game and have played our entire life. Soccer became a central part of our relationship from playing together, coaching competitive club together, to traveling all over the world to watch the beautiful game.
So why October 18th? In the world of sports, your jersey number holds special significance. It becomes more than just a number; it becomes a part of your identity on the field. It will mean so much that you will even blame your "bad game" on your jersey number if you don't end up getting the number you want. So, if you haven't guessed it yet, my soccer number is 10, and Cierra's is 18. Just like in soccer, where we'd do anything to secure our favorite jersey number, we're committed to doing whatever it takes for each other and our love!
The Proposal
Going on adventures and traveling has become our favorite thing to do together. We have absolutely fallin’ in love with learning new cultures and seeing new places, whether it's the enchanting landscapes of Arizona, the charm of neighboring states, or the exhilarating lands across the globe.
In August 2023, our journey led us to the beautiful shores of New Zealand and Australia for the Women's World Cup (yes, more soccer), but it was our pit stop to Fiji that would forever change of our lives. On our very first night in Fiji, I found myself overcome with emotion, a heart full of love and a ring in hand. I got down on one knee (while crying uncontrollably) and asked Cierra to join me on our greatest adventure of all; to spend forever together. With her radiant smile illuminating and tears of joy flowing, Cierra, without hesitation, said yes! We continued our celebration in the beautiful turquoise water of Fiji, embarking on adventures from snorkeling the vibrant coral reefs to racing across the waves on jet skis. Every moment was a testament to the endless joy of being together in one of the most breathtaking places on Earth.
