Our Story
How We Met
Tory and Shauna met during their college years at Minnesota State University, Mankato. They first crossed paths at a party in Mankato. What started as a lively conversation that night soon blossomed into something beautiful. They spent more time together, and in May 2019, they officially began dating. As the weeks went on, they found themselves spending more and more time together—studying on campus, going out for dinner dates, and simply enjoying each other’s company. After one of Tory’s baseball games, he asked Shauna to be his girlfriend. In May 2019, their relationship officially began, marking the start of a journey filled with laughter, adventure, and love.
After graduation, Tory and Shauna made it a priority to stay close—despite the distance. Tory would travel to the Cities to visit Shauna, and Shauna would make the drive north to Brainerd to spend time together. They cherished these weekends—exploring favorite restaurants, spending quality time with family and friends, and creating new memories. Whether it was cheering on Tory at his baseball games or simply enjoying each other’s company, every visit deepened their bond and strengthened their love.
With every encounter, their love grew deeper, and they knew they were building something that would last a lifetime.
The Proposal
Tory proposed on May 11, 2024. He surprised Shauna by proposing at her parents' beautiful lake home. As Shauna walked down to the lake, she saw Tory standing there with a heart made of roses. Overwhelmed with emotion, tears of joy filled her eyes as she realized what was happening. In that magical moment, she felt a wave of excitement about starting the next chapter with the love of her life.
Tory whisked Shauna away to a nearby restaurant, where yet another surprise awaited her—her closest friends had gathered to celebrate this special moment. Surrounded by love, laughter, and the people who mean the most to them, they couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful way to begin the next chapter of their forever.
