Our Story
How We Met
On the contrary to what some people may believe (or stories we have told), we did NOT meet at school. I was very nerdy and he was way more popular and bold. We lived two completely different lives and it would’ve been impossible for us to connect back then.
We actually swiped right. I know so embarrassing, but hey, it worked!! Our first date was a The Boba Shop around 5:30pm and we’ve been basically inseparable since then.
The Proposal
Tyler decided to plan a long weekend trip to camp in Austin at Pace Bend Park.
We went to eat first next to this light house and quickly realized the lakes were very shallow. Afterwards we went to check in at the camping site and I noticed he was a tad bit upset about the water situation, but I figured he was excited to float on the river and we couldn’t. We finally found a place with some water and stayed there for a couple of hours until we decided to go eat. Keep in mind, I had changed outfits about 4 times already.
We ate pizza (we LOVE pizza) and got back to see the sunset. I changed ONCE AGAIN into comfy clothes and took my make up off. He starts saying he wants to take pictures of me looking at the sunset. He picked a specific spot and was showing me pictures with his phone and then I scrolled through them all and realized one of the pictures had a ring in it. I turned around and there he was. The love of my life had a ring in hand, and was kneeling on the most uncomfortable rock to ever exist lol. He was grinning and I was freaking out and said yes even though he didn’t ask (but it was implied!!).
It was the most “us” thing ever. Nothing ever going as planned, just us chilling and enjoying how beautiful everything is in each others company.
