Our Story
How We Met
Jaz and Morgan were both stationed in Savannah for their first duty station. They were introduced to each other by their mutual friend, Chevonne (Chev). Chev would talk about the other person to both of them over the span of 3 years but were never introduced. Unbeknownst to Jaz and Morgan, they attended the same Trivia Night but again, never met. Jaz invited Chev to brunch to celebrate an early birthday and moving to a new duty station. While at brunch, Chev asked if she could invite Morgan. When Morgan joined the group, there was an instant connection and the rest was history.
The Proposal
The story begins in November of 2023 when Morgan and Jaz spent the weekend in New York City. They woke up early and took a stroll through Central Park when they stumbled on a guitar player. Morgan asked Jaz to dance and the only thing that would have made it more perfect would have been an engagement ring. Flash forward to April of 2024, Morgan took Jaz to the botanical garden in NC where she planned to propose. There was a gazebo in the middle of the garden with a guitar player set up and already playing when they walked up. When Jaz realized someone was standing there playing, Morgan reminded her of the time in NYC and asked her if she wanted to make a core memory with her and dance. They both danced and Morgan dropped down on one knee to pop the question. Shortly after, because Jaz knows everything, Jaz handed Morgan an Uno Reverse Card and immediately proposed right back to her. They now live happily ever after and can not wait to marry one another.
