Our Story
How We Met
On a blind date, in a hurricane, picnic on a 200’ cliff and walk through the 150 year old ruins of Kreische Brewery halfway between SA and HOU in a small town called La Grange TX. Ryan said pretty boring first date as I wrote this. LOL! Little did I know that this man loves some whiskey, so I definitely hooked him good from the start.
Seriously though, I remember thinking that I probably just wanted to be a single mom living for Jenni and God, but had the whimsical idea to see if a good man is out there on the great big internet which was only suppose to include the San Antonio area. Ryan says he was on his last ditch effort of online dating and my profile popped up, brand new. He messaged me while I’m still in the process of completing my profile and told him to just hang on while I finished. Little did I know my parameters weren’t set. Come to find out months after talking on FaceTime, Spring TX is not the same as Spring Branch TX. But we made it work for 2 plus years long distance, so many miles on IH 10!
The Proposal
After having a giant tomahawk at Flemings Steak House, Ryan surprise proposal was on March 12, 2022 in his parents home with girls involved spreading confetti everywhere! A month later, Carrie surprised Ryan with a proposal in Orlando FL at Al Capones Dinner and Show in front of a live audience.
