Our Story
How We Met
We met on June 8th, 2020, when the world slowed down and Keuka Lake became our sanctuary—Evan's home and Tiffanie's happy place. It was a perfect summer day on the lake, and Tiffanie was all set for a family boat day with her friend Bailey, cousin Daniel, brother Ryan, and now sister-in-law Lexie. As the group cruised on the Colonna family boat, a man on a jet ski suddenly appeared in the distance, heading straight for us. With a sly grin, Bailey explained she had asked the neighbor to bring the wakeboard we’d forgotten. The mystery man, Evan, sporting a thick mustache grown during months of lockdown, was invited to stay. After a few hours of fun, Evan drove Tiffanie home on the jet ski, while the rest of the crew followed closely behind. Although Ryan was not impressed with the travel arrangements, Tiffanie and Evan chatted and later exchanged phone numbers. Since then we have been inseparable. Sometimes the best things come in the most unexpected ways!
The Proposal
Like most weekends, we set out for a local hike, aiming to conquer the mountain across from our favorite ski resort, Bristol. Tiffanie was excited for the perfect fall day, actively inviting friends and packing lunch, unaware that Evan had a different plan in mind. Luckily, none of our friends could join because when we reached the summit and paused for a selfie Evan surprised Tiffanie with a proposal! In complete shock, she forgot to say yes as Evan’s friend emerged from the woods, camera in hand, capturing the moment. After savoring the excitement of what just happened, we eventually hiked back down and Evan, with another surprise up his sleeve, suggested we head into the town of Naples for a drink—a familiar activity that didn’t raise suspicion. But the surprises weren’t over. At the local brewery, Tiffanie was astonished once more to find our families waiting in the beer garden to celebrate. Now every Fall we hike back to that special peak, and throughout the winter, we ski the slopes across the way always reminded of the day that would start our next adventure - marriage!
