How We Met
He worked in the back of the house at Rigid while she was a "carpet walker" buyer who knew the guy to go to for all inventory-related questions. She was originally attracted to his quick wits and hard work while her smile and brains lured him in. What started as friends hanging out and working together led to a romance that still involved working together five years later.
The Proposal
Nick pulled off the ultimate surprise on Natalee's *Golden* birthday, 10/29/2023. What started as a girl's night hat burning turned into quite a surprise when Natalee was blindfolded and taken to a surprise party at a friend's house. Natalee was led into the backyard, when the blindfold was removed their closest family and friends were there to celebrate. Nick was standing under a balloon arch, and she thought, "Oh man, this is it," ... but alas, it was not the moment. Being a control freak, Natalee is not a fan of surprises but was so happy to see what he could pull off. As the night ended, Nick brought Natalee up to the front of the house to thank everyone for being there for her surprise party. That is when he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him as Yours by Russell Dickerson played in the background ... she shook her head yes, but the word "NO!" came out as she ugly cried yet again. Not because she didn't want to, but because she was trying to tell herself, "No, Natalee, keep it together." Once Nick slid the ring on her finger, the real party started with (IYKYK) ... gold shimmer Rumpis to celebrate!
