Our Story
How We Met
We met back in 2016 while both working at the same grocery store with some other mutual friends. While we both worked in different departments, we often found ourselves on break at the same time which quickly lead to more conversations, snapchats, and cute exchanges between aisles. Not long after this, we found ourselves invited to the same coworkers birthday party at Dave and Busters where we truly hit it off. Soon the coincidental break room run-ins turned into scheduling the same break times and non-stop texting while not at work. After many nights spent driving home together from work, chatting and listening to music in the car until the morning, and plenty of movie nights, the rest was history!
The Proposal
Isaiah proposed to Kayti on their five year anniversary which was May 5th, 2021 at Devereux Beach in Marblehead, MA. Devereux Beach holds a special place in both Kayti and Isaiah's hearts as it is a place that holds many significant memories throughout their relationship.
While out at dinner, Isaiah had been working with his close friends to set up the proposal spot with candles, flowers, and his handwritten card. After dinner, Isaiah had suggested that he and Kayti take one of their drives to Devereux Beach and Kayti of course said yes, not knowing that anything out of the ordinary was waiting for her. Before pulling into the parking lot, Isaiah put a blindfold on Kayti and lead her up to the set up that had been prepared while they were at dinner - a pathway of candles in the shape of heart with a bouquet of flowers and a handwritten note that ended in "Will you marry me?" As she read the note, he got down on one knee and asked the question - making it the easiest yes she's ever said!
