Our Story
How We Met
November 19th, 2022 Miranda and Remington had met at one of their towns local dive bars for their first date that ended up turning into an 8 hour date sitting in the same seats talking all night. The next day followed with another 7 hour date at one of the town's popular restaurants where they both couldn't believe they hadn't gotten bored of each other yet. Remington left for work the next day up North in Alaska for five weeks and the two kept in touch each day, thank goodness for Facetime.
Fast forward two years, the couple are happily engaged, traveling often, and enjoying the life they are sharing together.
The Proposal
Remington and Miranda had a trip booked to go to South Africa right before their two-year dating anniversary in November 2024. Around Christmas time in 2023, Remington and Miranda's father had a lengthy conversation about life plans and this is where Remington asked Miranda's father for his permission to marry his daughter. Of course, he said yes.
Fast forward a few months, Remington quietly planned with friends, family, and the lodge owners in South Africa on how to make the proposal perfect. His dream was to propose in front of the elephants which he told the lodge owners and they had the great idea for them to book a game drive where they would see rhinos, cheetahs, hippos, and of course, elephants.
Shortly after the couple began the game drive they had found the elephants and that's when Remington got down on one knee 20 yards from a mother elephant and her one month old calf. Remington asked and Miranda said yes and the best for them is yet to come!
