Our Story
How We Met
We met through the goodness and grace of God, individually pursuing his son Jesus at a Spring Arbor University Met by Love Worship night. We ended up talking after a few MBL nights in a row, and eventually found ourselves sharing food and playing Mario Kart with friends, learning quickly how competitive Emmalee can be. After riding back to campus together we bonded over our top ten lists of T Swift songs (Our Song obviously being the best) and the rest is history!
The Proposal
In May of 2023 we went on a trip with Ben and Tina Hamp up to see Michigan's Beautiful Upper Peninsula. Zach had never been so it was a must see. We crossed over the Mackinac Bridge and stopped in at the Straights State Park to stop at the restroom and visit the overlook. It was a classically beautiful Michigan day, cool, raining and foggy. We were standing there together at the look-out, Zach's heart started racing, he got down on one knee and I said yes!
