Our Story
How We Met
Teagan and Justice met at Central Kitsap High school their senior year in English class in 2017. Seven months later and they were on their first date at waterfront park. After hours of chatting about philosophy, their families, and their aspirations for the future, Teagan drove Justice home and they made plans to meet each other again. Graduation came and Teagan followed Justice to college in Missouri. They spent their time involved in various school activities, clubs, and rigorous coursework. The couple decided to start looking at home-buying and moved back to Washington State. Justice continued to go to college and worked as a barista at Starbucks. Teagan started an apprenticeship program as an electrician and worked full time. The couple found enjoyment in taking road trips, hiking, and working on spiritual values. After finding out they were pregnant with their first child, they moved into their first apartment together and began preparing for the new addition to their family. Teagan and Justice became parents to Adaline Taafe in December 2021. Soon after, Justice graduated college with a BA in psychology and Teagan obtained his journeyman license. They continued to follow their dreams and bought a house together in the town where Teagan grew up. All of this love has led them to choose each other as life partners and foster a companionship that perseveres through life’s challenges.
The Proposal
Teagan saved up his paychecks to buy a ring from a local jeweler in their college town. Two years later, Teagan found the perfect spot to propose along their hike up the first mountain they ever climbed together. Hungry and exhausted, they found themselves overlooking a vast forrest of lush green trees overlooking Lake Cushman. Serene and in love, they made the commitment to become one on their wedding day.
