How We Met
Somalia… of all places! I was showing him up on how to use a grader, dozer and to how build stuff. (If he tells you otherwise, he’s just making it up!)
The Proposal
While on a long weekend get away with his family, we took many strolls along the beach. On April 18th, 2021, while on such a stroll, the wonderful Alexander starts frantically patting his short pockets but waves me to continue ahead looking for seashells. Turns out he wasn’t nervous about proposing but he sure was nervous that he had just lost his soon to be fiancés’ grandmothers original wedding ring. Panic was setting in with thoughts of never being able to return to MN, but with luck on his side, he was able to find the ring, and finally, shakily, pop the question. See the ring got tucked inside this beautiful shell we had found earlier that weekend but all he could find at first was the small hole in the bottom of his short pockets!!!
