Our Story
How We Met
Sophie and Joshua met 4 years ago at their alma mater when Sophie stumbled into Joshua's office looking for information on the MBA program. Sophie immediately recognized Joshua as the mildly (ok maybe not so mildly) attractive man she had always seen walking the halls of Garret Hall. Upon their formal introduction, Sophie could not believe she was having a conversation with the man she had only admired from afar. She contemplated suggesting they exchange numbers, but she was too nervous to do so and regretted it the moment she left. While Sophie very clearly had eyes for Joshua, he did not have eyes for her ... yet.
After not seeing or speaking to each other for a year, Joshua and Sophie reconnected during the lockdown of 2020. They scheduled a first date at Sophie's home in Covington since all of the restaurants were closed! The two of them went on to enjoy a romantic dinner date filled with good food and champagne (Joshua was very impressed with Sophie's cooking skills), followed by a starlit stroll along the Mandeville lakefront. Joshua even convinced Sophie to walk out into the Lake in what would be their first "adventure" together. The two have been inseparable ever since.
The Proposal
On a sunny afternoon on December 15th, 2022 Sophie and Joshua were strolling along the River Thames in London, England. They were admiring the beautiful views of Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament when Joshua dropped to one knee in a heart shape made of rose petals and asked "will you marry me?".
