Our Story
How We Met
We don't have a "cutesy" way we met, nothing spontaneous, or wild. We simply met online. From that day we were friends for a couple of years. Both of us knew we had some feelings for one another, and Sam suggested "why don't we just try it out and see what happens". Well that was 8+ years ago. A simple lets see what happens, turned into a lets spend the rest of our lives together.
The Proposal
We were up at one of our favorite places to be for a long weekend, especially as it was New Years weekend. New Years eve we spent the evening inside making a delicious steak and potato dinner, played a couple rounds of Kings Corner, and played two different games of Life at the same time. Then enjoyed the fire until midnight. The next morning (New Years Day) Travis got up to go for a morning grouse hunt before Sam and Naga got out of bed. He ended up shooting one. As Travis came back Sam and Naga were ready for a morning walk in the woods (Naga was super excited), Travis tagged along to see if there were any grouse. He didn't get anything, so we walked back to the house to have lunch before going for another walk. After lunch Naga and Travis were ready to go and went outside while they waited for Sam to finish up. As soon as Sam was ready for the next walk, she went outside, shut the door, turned around... and there Travis was on one knee proposing to Sam. And of course Sam said, Yes!
