How We Met

We first met in 2017, through mutual friends. It was one of those chance encounters that you never expect to turn into something significant. We exchanged polite greetings and went about our separate ways, never imagining that our paths would intertwine so profoundly in the future.
Fast forward to December 26, 2019. It was a day that would mark the beginning of a new chapter in our lives. Fate seemed to bring us together again, and this time, we both felt a spark that couldn't be ignored. From that day on, we spent every moment we could together, discovering more about each other and building a connection that grew stronger with each passing day.
Our first official date was a simple yet memorable one – breakfast at IHOP. As we sat across from each other, sipping coffee and sharing laughs, we knew that this was just the beginning of something beautiful.
It wasn't until April 30, 2020, that we decided to make things official. Little did we know that just a few weeks later, the world as we knew it would come to a screeching halt. The pandemic forced us to adapt to a new way of life, but amidst the chaos and uncertainty, our love only deepened.
In the midst of navigating the challenges of the pandemic, we received news that filled us with overwhelming joy – we were expecting a baby boy. Our hearts swelled with excitement as we eagerly anticipated the arrival of our little bundle of joy.
However, our happiness was soon overshadowed by tragedy. On December 30, 2020, we experienced the unimaginable pain of losing our baby boy. It was a devastating blow that rocked us to our core, but in our grief, we found solace in each other's arms. Our bond grew even stronger as we leaned on each other for support during those dark days.
As time passed, we found healing in the hope of new beginnings. In the fall of 2022, we received the news we had been longing for – we were expecting again, another precious boy. The prospect of becoming parents filled us with both excitement and trepidation, but we faced the future together, hand in hand.
On May 18, 2023, our rainbow baby entered the world, filling our lives with light and love once again. Holding him in our arms, we felt a sense of overwhelming gratitude for the journey that had brought us to this moment.
And then, on September 27, as we sat around his parents' table, surrounded by family and the sounds of our baby's laughter, he got down on one knee and asked me to be his forever. Tears of joy streamed down my face as I said yes, knowing that together, we could weather any storm that life threw our way.
