Our Story
How We Met
Sean and Robin's journey began at SUNY Oneonta where they were brought together through a simple Facebook post. Robin's search for a roommate led Sean to send a message. As they crossed paths on campus and around town, a connection grew, slowly evolving into a beautiful friendship.
It was in the summer before the end of their freshman year that Sean took the leap, inviting Robin on an official date to the library. Robin and Sean have now celebrated their six year anniversary and are looking forward to a lifetime together.
The Proposal
The proposal journey started months prior to the proposal, as Sean worked on customizing Robin's dream ring, by blending the styles of her mother's and grandmother's ring.
In December 2023, Sean surprised Robin with a weekend getaway to Burlington under the guise of a belated birthday celebration. Sean had told Robin that he made dinner reservations at a local restaurant and wanted to take some pictures beforehand. Taking her to The Church Street Marketplace, he asked Robin to pose in front of the Christmas tree, and as she turned to face the camera, Sean dropped to one knee.
Once Robin accepted Sean's proposal, he asked her to take a look at the crowds forming on the sideline, and that's when she realized it was all of their family ready to celebrate with them.
