Our Story

How We Met

Allie & Riley first met on a dating app, after getting to know each other a bit through text, they decided to go on a date. They first met up in person for a lunch at a Mexican restaurant in Red Bluff called Guadalajara. They felt as if they almost instantly clicked. Allie suggested they go for a walk after they finished eating. Riley assumed Allie knew the best place to do so, being a local. Little did they know they were going to find themselves in a homeless encampment, Dog Island Park. They still went through with it and walked about the trail, a little dog following them along the way. After that little adventure, they decided to go on another movie date later that night, where they watched the movie "Fall Guy". Even though it had only been a day of meeting each other in person, they both had a good feeling that they found their person. After their first date the rest is history.

The Proposal

Riley bought the ring when he was back where he grew up in Kennewick Washington and from there the planning started. Wanting his best friend there they made plans for the proposal to happen when they came to visit for New Year's. After months of planning the time finally came when Allie was able to go get her nails done while Riley and his best friend were planning everything out. Luckily Allie's family was able to get some free time, and they all had dinner before heading out to the Redding Garden of Lights. Once they all started walking through the light show, Allie's favorite spot came up quicker than expected. While taking pictures under the chandeliers Allie started walking off thinking photos were finished. Little to her knowledge Riley was pulling out the ring and dropping on a knee. Once Allie turned back around wondering where he was, she was in shock to see Riley on a knee with a ring in front of her. Allie said yes and stuck out the wrong hand... After Riley grabbed her correct hand, he then placed the ring on her finger to seal the deal.
