Get ready to breathe in some fresh mountain air and join us for a weekend of celebration in the stunning Western North Carolina mountains! Our wedding festivities will take place at Chimney Pond in Glenville, NC. We've chosen this beautiful, serene spot so we can truly share our love for nature and each other with all of you. While it's a bit of a drive into the heart of the mountains, we promise the journey is just as beautiful as the destination. We highly recommend making a mini-vacation out of it and arriving on Thursday morning to settle in, explore the charming local towns, and enjoy all the beauty this area has to offer before the big day!

Directions

Finding Your Way to Chimney Pond
For those of you joining us from afar, the most convenient airport is Asheville Regional Airport (AVL). It's about a 1.5 to 2-hour scenic drive from AVL to Glenville, NC, depending on traffic and how many times you stop to admire the views!
From Asheville Regional Airport (AVL) to Chimney Pond, Glenville, NC:

  • Upon arrival at Asheville Regional Airport (AVL), you'll want to rent a car. Rideshares can be limited in this area, so having your own vehicle is highly recommended for exploring and getting around.
  • From AVL, head South on NC-280 W. You'll pass through some lovely countryside.
  • NC-280 W will eventually merge with or become US-64 W. Continue on US-64 W.
  • You'll stay on US-64 W for a significant portion of the drive, heading towards Brevard and then Cashiers. This route is incredibly scenic, so enjoy the mountain views!
  • Once you reach the charming town of Cashiers, you'll turn right onto NC-107 N.
  • Drive approximately 6 miles north on NC-107 N.
  • Look for a left turn onto Lakeside Circle Drive. There should be signs for Chimney Pond.
  • Follow Lakeside Circle Drive for about half a mile, and you'll find Chimney Pond on your right. A few notes for your journey:
  • GPS/Navigation: We highly recommend downloading offline maps for the area before you start driving, as cell service can be spotty in the mountains.
  • Mountain Roads: Be prepared for winding roads and varying speeds. Take your time and enjoy the drive!
  • Groceries/Essentials: Ingles, a awesome grocery store that is close. Don't feel like you need to pick much up in Ashville before heading in if you are flying.
