How We Met
We met in the music section of Barnes & Noble Braintree back in 1998. Since then we have been close friends, sharing a love of books, music, and art. By 2015, our life circumstances had changed, we began to spend more time together doing the things we enjoyed, and we realized we were really in sync with each other. We soon began to fall in love. Even though we planned to "take it slow", by 2017 we knew we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together. We are grateful and blessed to have each other, and look forward to more love and adventure in the coming years.

The second best time is today...."
Look for our PoeTree tags with our invitation, and return them with your RSVP. We will hang them on our PoeTree in the barn. You can check out a sample on our Photos page.
The Proposal
We were already planning our wedding, but Mary Ann officially proposed to Lisa on our trip to Aruba. She proposed on Lisa's birthday on a bench near a beautiful purple bougainvillea. Lisa waited until this past April - on the anniversary (to the day and date) of our second date on the grounds of the Medfield State Hospital. She was inspired to propose in front of a poem painted on the side of the building that summed up Mary Ann's love for living things. The poem happened to be written on the TB Infirmary building.
