Our Story
How We Met
Tim and Olivia met online in March of 2020, right at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. After a few weeks of talking, they agreed to go on a date together. Their first date was at a restaurant called Frida in West Hartford, CT where they enjoyed tacos and margaritas. Here, they quickly bonded over their love for travel, food, and craft beer. Subsequent dates included having drinks at Back East Brewery, hiking Castle Craig, enjoying the delicious "dirt-style" wings at J Timothys Taverne, visiting the drive-in at Mohegan Sun and going down to New Haven to eat Sallys Apizza. After just a short time, it was clear that Tim and Olivia were a perfect match.
Over the last few years, Tim and Olivia have continued to build on their love for travel. Together, they have enjoyed the beaches of Martha's Vineyard, sung at the best Honky Tonks in Nashville, explored Chicago, visited Acadia National Park, relaxed in Cabo San Lucas, and toured the beautiful islands of Greece together. For their honeymoon, they plan to visit Napa Valley as well as Portugal and the Amalfi Coast. In addition to all the travel, they have also continued to try new beers, and have been to more than 90 breweries together! (Ask them about their official rankings, the list is pretty great!)
Tim and Olivia recently purchased a home in West Hartford, CT together and adopted a puppy named Jackson. They are so excited to celebrate their marriage with all their friends and family and to begin the rest of their lives together.
The Proposal
Tim and Olivia got engaged on June 9th, 2023 on the beautiful island of Santorini, Greece. Tim arranged for a driver to take him and Olivia to a private spot overlooking the sunset on the caldera. Upon arrival, Tim walked Olivia down a set of stairs, under a white arch to a perfect, picturesque spot where he asked her to marry him. After she said "yes", they enjoyed champagne and had a special dinner together before returning to the hotel room to call their family and friends and share the news.
