Our Story
How We Met
Monica and Evan met in the Army in Oklahoma. They were both working for the training room and living at the same apartment complex. On Saturday, June 18th, Evan invited Monica on a hike with a group of his friends. That Monday, Evan and Monica went on their first date at Buffalo Grove for coffee. They started taking Rudy for walks around the apartment buildings every night, and soon realized that they had a shared goal of serving the Lord with their lives, and the rest is history.
The Proposal
Monica was driving back home to Pennsylvania after a family trip to Florida, and decided to make a stop in Georgia to see Evan. Evan planned a weekend trip to a cabin in Dahlonega. Evan got to the cabin early to decorate a room with flowers. The day she arrived, they had dinner at Montaluce Winery and when they got back to the cabin, Evan asked Monica to marry him.
