Our Story
How We Met
Most of you know that we were in the same graduating class in High School, but the universe brought us together at the right time several years later. We hit it off on our first date and became fast friends! It didn't take long after that to see a future together. Fast forward five years and we are finally saying I do!
The Proposal
Meghan landed an internship through her Distilling Courses at SUNY Schenectady to work the Kentucky Derby, but the last day of it was the Five Year Anniversary of their First Date. Wanting to spend it together, she tried to book a flight to make it home on time, but it was not possible. A light bulb going off, she invited him to drive down and pick her up, then go visit a few Kentucky Bourbon Distilleries before heading home. Unbeknownst to Meghan, he had been planning the same thing for months to surprise her on their anniversary. Without leading her on to the prior scheme, they planned the trip and when it came time, he met her in Kentucky. At the end of the second tour, Pat finessed a private moment for them in the scenic gardens and got down on one knee! Of course, Meghan said YES!!
