Our Story
How We Met
Back in 2016, we both found ourselves attending Seattle University. We lived just down the hall from one another in our dorm, just two doors down. We would exchange fleeting glances and small smiles, until January 2017 I asked Jacob out for a cup of coffee. He managed to get us lost on our first date, but we salvaged it by walking to the Starbucks Roastery and Reserve and walking the iconic Pike Place Market at night and sharing our first kiss.
The Proposal
We had just recently welcomed Harley into our home and Jacob wanted to celebrate by taking family photos of the three of us to commemorate adopting our first dog. However, Seattle infamously known for it's rain, decided to have a heat wave with temperatures reaching over 90. Of course Jacob was sweating due to the heat, but nerves probably compounded that feeling ten-fold. Jacob managed to slip a Red Heart onto Harley's collar, with the question "Marry Me?" engraved on it. After 4 years together, many miles between us when we did long distance, a pandemic, and now a puppy, the answer couldn't have been easier. Of course, it was yes! We celebrated the night with champagne, dinner at San Fermo in Ballard, and lots of cuddles from Harley. We are so excited to celebrate our love with our friends and family in 2023!
