Our Story
How We Met
As the young kids do, we met on an online dating app. Maddie thought Will seemed like a fun, easy-going guy with classic dad jokes, and Will thought Maddie looked like she would be up for an adventure. Our first date was a hike, spending hours talking about, what felt like, everything.
The hike was interrupted with a paper plane competition which, to Will's dismay, Maddie won :)
Neither of us wanted the date to end, so we ventured to Sloop Brewing Company for pizza and beer. The rest is history!
The Proposal
Little did Maddie know; Will was scheming something extravagant...
Will spent months planning a scavenger hunt that took Maddie through some of their favorite places and fondest memories. The scavenger hunt started at their apartment, then took her to multiple places of significance around Wappingers Falls, Beacon, and Fishkill. The final spot: Wonder Lake State Park, where Maddie and Will had their first date almost 3 years prior.
