Our Story
How We Met
During the boring times of Covid, Lauren's good friend Diana asked her to join a co-ed football league where Lauren met Steve Miller and Nick Primerano. Although Lauren was adamant about not dating at that time, Steve and Nick convinced Dave to add Lauren on social media, and after following each other, no immediate action was taken by either party. Months later and out of the blue, Dave slid into Lauren's messages on Instagram (DMs as the young kids would say), politely introducing himself. After several messages back and forth, Dave cut to the chase and asked Lauren out on a date. After several hours of conversing, laughing, and Lauren milking the world's smallest cup of coffee, the rest is history.
The Proposal
After months of asking when a proposal would happen, Lauren had established with Dave that she did not want a public proposal when the time for that shiny ring finally came. On a cold, blustery late April day, Dave insisted on taking their best doggy friend, Charlie, for a walk at Chestnut Ridge. Without a plan, Dave had to think quickly on his feet and walked towards the pond about a mile into the park. Dave continued to ask Lauren if her hands were cold and after she answered yes, Dave responded "Can I see your hands? You're missing something." Dave then proceeded to drop to one knee and with the most thoughtful impromptu speech, asked Lauren to marry him. Lauren could not get that ring on her finger quick enough and that's what brings us here today.
