Our Story
How We Met
Alexis and Geoff met like typical millennials on a dating app called OkCupid. Alexis originally created her dating app profile because of a dare by her friends. Their first messages exchanged on the dating app were:
Alexis: "Hi, you seem cool"
Geoff: "Hi, you seem cool too"
From these humble beginnings, their love began to blossom. Their first date was at a dine-in movie theater called Roadhouse Cinemas. They watched the Accountant, an action movie starring Ben Affleck. While sipping on some gelato milkshakes, they got to know each other.
From there they bonded over shared interests and activities such as hiking, biking, coffee, movies, Mexican food, dogs, family, and education. Some of their favorite dates included peppermint mocha coffee dates at Starbucks, movie nights, and walking around Downtown Tucson while holding hands. They both are very career oriented and helped each other to progress in their respective career endeavors.
The Proposal
One of Alexis and Geoff's favorite places to hangout is Mt. Lemmon. They enjoy hiking, stargazing, watching sunsets, and grabbing pizza at the cookie cabin. During a date, Alexis mentioned to Geoff how much she loved spending time there as a couple. That day, Geoff knew this would be the perfect spot to propose to Alexis.
Since his brother Jacob had professional photography experience, he asked Jacob if he could photograph this special occasion. The brother's pretended Jacob was just visiting Geoff in Tucson and wanted to photograph the trip. When Geoff got down on one knee, Jacob whipped out his camera, and Alexis said yes! She was so surprised the brother's had planned the entire proposal and didn't tip her off at all.
