Our Story
How We Met
Just a couple of rebellious teenagers who met in high school. Our infamous "how we met" story always begins in Dave's movie class our senior year. Paired up to play two FBI agents in one of the cheesiest short movies of all time, the sparks began to fly. Then of course, there was the scene that Chris accidentally punched me in the face- which may or may not have been exaggerated a bit. Being the gentleman that he is though, he immediately offered to make it even, and allow me to b**** slap him in front of the class on camera. Needless to say, I didn't hold back, and we got a great blooper for our little high school movie.
Fast forward and life brought us our separate ways. Chris brought Kellan into the world while I brought Ariana and Aliyah to us. However, fate had us reconnecting and we have been absolutely inseparable since 2017. In 2020 we were blessed with Hunter, our last addition to our amazing, beautiful, blended family.
The Proposal
Rewind to October 7th 2018, we committed the evening to celebrating our 1 year anniversary. Chris began by recreating our first date. After dinner, we continued reenacting our first date by walking alongside the Mississippi River in St. Paul. Just at sunset alongside the river, Chris got down on one knee and proposed with a wedding ring handed down from my grandmother. Truly, I couldn't have asked for a better way to start our beginning.
