Our Story
How We Met
Kelsey and Griffin have known one another as far back as they can remember. Growing up as friends, they rode each other's buses home from Marion Elementary to hang out in each other's neighborhoods, attended each other's metro basketball games, and went to Eat'n Park after school and sporting events. You could say their "romance" began quite early when Griffin escorted Kelsey to the 6th grade Christmas Dance, Kelsey standing a whopping 6 inches taller than Griffin at the time! Their attraction didn't stop there, attending yet another dance in the 8th Grade, this time Griffin asking Kelsey not to wear heels in an effort to minimize the height difference.
Fast forward to December 16th, 2017, Kelsey and Griffin attended their third Christmas Dance together their junior year of high school. What made this dance special for Griffin however was not the fact that he was finally taller than Kelsey, but he mustered the courage to ask Kelsey to be his girlfriend. Griffin and Kelsey have been inseparable since, attending each other's high school basketball games, prom, high school graduation, and winning the Belle Vernon class of 2018's cutest couple award. While major life changes like four years of distance in college, two years of Speech Pathology Graduate School for Kelsey, three years of Law School for Griffin, and now the start of their professional careers, Griffin and Kelsey's love has been the one constant thing through it all.
The Proposal
Seven years after Griffin asked Kelsey to be his girlfriend, he had just one more question for her. Waiting for a beautiful autumn day, Griffin walked Kelsey to the top of his favorite hill where he dreams of one day building a home for his and Kelsey's family. Griffin got down on one knee and asked Kelsey to make their love story officially forever. They are now so excited to celebrate their Wedding Day with you!
