Our Story

How We Met

Like all great modern love stories, ours began with a swipe. We met through Facebook Dating, not expecting much more than a friendly chat. But from our very first conversation, something just clicked. It felt easy, natural—like we had known each other much longer than a few exchanged messages.

For our first date, we decided on a relaxed picnic at Lake Pleasant. Between the laughter, shared stories, and sunshine reflecting off the water, it quickly became clear that this wasn’t just a good first date—it was the beginning of something truly special.

Soon after, we found ourselves inseparable. Whether it was spontaneous adventures or quiet nights in, being together felt right. We didn’t just fall in love—we found our favorite person, our best friend, and now, our forever.

The Proposal

It all started with what I thought was going to be a normal work week. Unbeknownst to me, Logan had been planning something incredibly special behind the scenes—even reaching out to my boss to secretly arrange time off. So when he suddenly told me to pack my bags because we were going on an anniversary adventure, I was completely caught off guard.

The next morning, we hit the road heading north to Williams, Arizona. Along the way, we stopped at the Deer Farm, grabbed some snacks and drinks, and enjoyed the road trip—though I had no idea that Logan was intentionally stalling for time to set the stage for what was to come.

When we arrived at our destination, my heart nearly burst—Logan had booked a cozy little tiny home, something I had always dreamed of staying in. But the surprises had only just begun. As we stepped inside, the room was filled with rose petals, bottles of champagne, and a small welcome sign that read:

“Logan & Katelyn – Welcome to your Grand Canyon Tiny Home and Surprise Anniversary Scavenger Hunt. Now, head outside to the deck to start your journey.”

With wide eyes and full hearts, we stepped onto the deck and began the scavenger hunt designed just for me. It led us through magical little corners of the property: a vintage trailer filled with board games, a natural wood jacuzzi, a scenic deck, and even a cornhole setup. On the cornhole board, a trail of rocks had been arranged into an arrow, pointing toward the woods.

Following the lit path through the trees, I suddenly came upon something straight out of a fairytale—a giant teepee surrounded by hay bales, glowing string lights, and wooden signs spelling out LOVE, all set against a breathtaking sunset.

As we walked up to the teepee, Logan took my hands, looked into my eyes, and began speaking from his heart. Then, he dropped to one knee and asked me the question I had always dreamed of:

"Will you marry me?"

It was the easiest, most joyful yes of my life.

Just when I thought it couldn’t get more perfect, a photographer in full camouflage (yes, really!) emerged from the bushes—he had captured the entire moment!

It was a day filled with love, intention, and the kind of magic you never forget. Logan put so much thought into every detail, and it couldn’t have been a more perfect beginning to our forever. ❤
