The Proposal

In May 2023, Nathan and Kara traveled to the Dominican Republic to celebrate Nathan's 30th birthday. Kara told everyone that she hoped he would propose because of how beautiful the location was, but she didn't think he was actually going to do it since they were there for his birthday. The night after his birthday, Nathan told Kara to get dressed up, and after dinner, kept dragging her around to different places around the resort. She was suspicious, so she kept looking at his pockets to see if there was a ring box, but eventually, they headed back to the room, so at that point, she knew it was not going to happen. At breakfast the next morning, Kara told Nathan that she thought he was going to propose, but now she knew that was not the case. That afternoon, Kara messaged the concierge to ask about dinner reservations for that night, which was their last night of vacation. The concierge set up the reservations and met them at the main clubhouse to take them to dinner. However, instead of getting on a golf cart like they had done every other night, the concierge started walking them over to the beach. Kara still had no clue what was going on. He led them to a dinner set up on the beach. Again, Kara was not suspicious because she just assumed this was something they did for couples on their last night. When they got to the table, though, Nathan began to talk, and proposed right there on the beach. It was a beautiful night, and Kara could not have asked for a more romantic proposal.
