Our Story
How We Met
He was from Tennessee, and she was from Arizona. A serendipitous February found them both studying abroad in Australia. They had three days together on an orientation trip before he went over to Sydney and her to Melbourne. At orientation, she tried to catch his eye, but he was busy reading his Harry Potter books. Just minutes before parting for opposite ends of Australia, she asked for his number. Thus began many months of heartfelt texts, virtual dates, and late-night calls. But as semesters concluded, geography pulled them in different directions as they returned home to the United States.
Despite the distance, their connection grew stronger. A long-distance love story was born, with him driving for hours to visit her in Indiana, meeting each others' families, and exploring hometowns. Her move to Dallas after graduation didn't deter him, and they continued to make the most of the moments they had together. After three and a half years of long-distance, he finally made the big move to Texas, bringing them even closer together. They recently celebrated their fifth anniversary and look forward to a lifetime of many more.
The Proposal
Across the Atlantic in the gardens of Versailles, Jonathan knelt down and proposed. Surrounded by the beauty and history of the castle's gardens, she said yes, and the City of Love celebrated their union. It was an enchanting moment, made even more special by the presence of his family and the surprise arrival of her parents, a testament to the love and support that surrounds them.
As their love story continues to unfold, they look forward to their next chapter. In the warm embrace of Arizona, surrounded by family and friends, they will say "I do" in July of 2024, marking the beginning of a new adventure as husband and wife.
Together, they cherish each day as a gift, each moment as a chance to create new memories, and each mile as a reminder of the incredible journey that brought them together. Their love story is evidence of the power of love and patience, and they can't wait to share their future with y'all!
