Our Story
How We Met
We met on a beautiful Saturday morning when joey decided to pay a visit to the doctors office Kayla was finishing externship hours at for school. To Kayla's frustrating surprise, he was bright and early instead of out doing things a normal fresh college graduate would be doing. Joey being the morning person he is, decided to test Kayla's patience during the initial exam. He would not elaborate on the reasoning of the visit. After the doctors exam, it was found that Joey had some compacted ear wax and needed a deep clean. Between the two tasks at hand given to Kayla; EKG on an elder hairy man, or sit in silence and drown a mans eardrum. The eardrum it was but no silence. Constant laughter and jokes filled the room for the duration of the appointment. By the end of the appointment, and to Joey's embarrassing surprise, Kayla had dug out a massive golden nugget that she found to be actually quite fascinating. Joey, in a rush, left the room before thinking to himself "I have to get that girls number". He clearly got it or you would not be here.
The Proposal
We had a beautiful vacation planned the weekend Joey decided to propose. While Kayla was busy packing and getting the dog ready for a road trip to San Diego, CA, Joey decided to "run errands". He made a stop for the ring, swung by her parents for permission, and left the ring with Kayla's mom to see them tin San Diego. We enjoyed a beautiful weekend that entailed a family members beautiful wedding on the coast and a lovely drive to Julian Pie Company in Julian, CA. Sunday morning was planned for pictures on the pier and a nice lunch before driving home. On the pier accompanied by Kayla's mom and grandmother, Joey proposed.
