How We Met
After going to Jess's senior prom with each other's best friends, it took almost the entire following summer for us to leave the "talking" stage. But a surprise beach picnic on August 5, 2016 led to our first kiss and our relationship was official. 8 years later and every moment still feels as magical as that first one.
The Proposal
It was Sunday December 12, 2021.
Almost every holiday season since we started dating, we would go up to Old Port in Portland, Maine to do some last minute Christmas shopping and eat poutine and gelato. This year, we set up a phone to take a video so we could pose in front of the tree in Monument Square. As Jess walked away to grab the phone, Chris called out "Wait, there's one more I want to do" and got down on one knee.
