Our Story
How We Met
It started with an online dating match. Jaime chased Ashley, Ashley did not take the bait. Jaime persisted. Ashley relented. After weeks of texting, they met for a hike and after hours on the trail, both felt the hike was too short. So, they decided to do it again! It quickly became apparent this was something special.
The Proposal
The week of Christmas, prior to heading out to Utah to meet more of Ashley's family, Jaime insisted on a date night. Before our dinner reservation, we stopped for what Ashley thought was a quick photo in front of the town Christmas tree. As they walked to the tree, a guitarist stood nearby playing Christmas songs. They joked about this being a Hallmark movie. After enjoying the tree for a minute, the guitarist started playing one of their songs, and Jaime asked for a dance. They danced in the cold and when the song ended, Jaime got on one knee and asked Ashley to marry him (along with a lot of other darling sweet nothings). The guitarist burst in with another one of our songs in celebration - obviously this musician had been hired for the occasion, and was wonderful! Such a romantic, thoughtful and sweet moment.
